Root Canal

Experiencing swelling or discomfort?
This might be a sign that your tooth may be damaged. Don’t worry… we can help save your tooth and the day.

What is a root canal?

A root canal is an endodontic treatment that can repair and save your tooth if it is severely damaged or infected.
The dental pulp sits at the heart of every tooth and if this collection of nerves and tissues is severely damaged or diseased it can compromise the health of your tooth and lead to toothache, infection, or abscess. In order to salvage and repair the tooth, the compromised tissues at the core of the tooth must be removed and then the tooth can be repaired and sealed to protect it against further deterioration.

Why would I need a root canal?

If the internal and root structure, nerves, and tissues of the tooth are severely damaged or infected due to decay or trauma the pulp may stop regenerating and you may need a root canal.
If not addressed the compromised tissues can lead to discomfort, temperature sensitivity, pain, abscess, and the spread of infection, impacting your quality of life and overall health. A root canal can help to save and preserve your natural tooth so that you can get back to your life and smile again.
